The God Slot
I was brought up as part of a Christian family & have attended St. Mark's Methodist Church in Yeovil since birth. As I approached my teenage years, my Mum set up a youth club at St. Mark's as part of the national youth section of the Methodist Church MAYC. (see Links MAYC).
The club was very popular with about 50 young people attending most weeks. We took part in many district & national events including London Weekend in May each year, which attracted around 10,000 young people belonging to MAYC groups from around the country. The youth club was also where I met my wife Amanda.
We are both still active members of the church & our relationship with God remains central to our lives. We are both committed to working with young people & showing them the love of Christ that is so important to us.
We are involved with several different projects, all of which are centred around bringing young people into a church environment for fun and friendship, and to show them that being a Christian is GREAT.
Please feel free to come along to any of the events below. One of the things we love most about our church is its friendly, open feel. New people are always made welcome & the atmosphere remains relaxed and informal.

Run by Lindsay and Beverley the 5+ group offers an informal and fun way of learning about Christian living.
By making new friends through games, craft, drama, music and sharing some time together, we learn how loving God is as important today as ever.
